I’ve lost 70 pounds in a year.  I didn’t really plan to lose that much weight.  My life has changed and as I look back, I think about the days in between where I kept looking forward, making good food choices, being patient with myself and weeding out the foods that were harmful to my body…and one day I looked in the mirror and realized I had reached my goal.  It just took some readjusting of priorities and choices around here.  Continue Reading…

Real Food: Vacation

We went to New Mexico a few weeks ago and it was WONDERFUL to get away.  It was the first real trip I’ve taken since I started eating real food so I was a little curious about how it would go.  The weekend before we left we had a family wedding that my entire family was in so I was not able to plan ahead like I will next time.  Continue Reading…

I’ve been on vacation for the past week in New Mexico with my family, parents and grandparents.  What a special time we had together!  I always considered myself a beach person but now my heart is in the mountains as well!  At least the summertime mountains ;o)…It was a little tricky eating real food on vacation.  I’ll post later this week some tips and what helped me along the way!  But now let’s talk about hummus.
